Patients with TMD as diagnosed with RDC/TMD diagnostic criteria and not responding to one month routine medical management
1. Traumatic conditions , ankylosis ,neoplastic changes, developmental defects, degenerative joint diseases affecting the TMJ. 2.Patients with clicking of TMJ, but without pain or restricted mandibular movements 3. Patients with undiagnosed dental pain or who have skin lesions or facial abrasion at the site of acoustic gel placement.
4. Patients with cardiac pacemakers and cardiac arrhythmias and other uncontrolled systemic diseases.
5. Vascular disorders and neurological pain.
6. Patients with any history of seizures.
7. Pregnant and lactating mothers
8. Children less than 12 years
9.mentally disabled patients

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 1. Reduction in intensity of pain and masticatory muscle tenderness from the baseline to last treatment follow up visit using VAS score. <br/ ><br> 2. Improvement in mouth opening measured as a numeric variable (in mm with mean and SD).Timepoint: The primary outcome measured after one-month treatment(four sessions in four weeks of a month)
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 1.Occurrence of adverse effects will be measured using a questionnaire. 2. Recurrence of signs and symptoms in follow up period as binary variable (Yes/No). <br/ ><br>3. Symptom-free interval as numerical variable (weeks/months).Timepoint: Measured after 3 months.
