Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Individuals between the age of 16 to 70 years of either sex without any discrimination of cast and religion.
  • •2\. Individuals suitable for Shodhana (Virechana) Procedure.
  • •3\. Individuals with blood sugar fasting 126mg/dl to 200mg/dl and (or) post prandial plasma glucose level 200mg/dl to 275mg/dl
  • •4\. Probably all such cases would be newly diagnoses cases of diabetes.
  • •5\. Those who will sign the written informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Known case of Insulin Depended Diabetes Mellitus (IDDM).
  • •2\. Individuals suffering from diseases like cancer, tuberculosis, sever cardiovascular diseases are other systemic diseases.
  • •3\. Individuals suffering from other endocrinopathies like acromegaly, Cushingââ?¬•s syndrome.
  • •4\. Individuals with genetic syndromes like Downââ?¬•s syndrome, Klinefelterââ?¬•s syndrome, Turnerââ?¬•s syndrome.
  • •5\. Pregnant and lactating women.
  • •6\. Any other condition which can jeopardise the outcome of the study will be excluded.
