Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Meet diagnostic criteria of major depressive disorder
  • •\- Prescribed rTMS treatment by a psychiatrist (or standard therapy for the control group)
  • •\- Age: 18\-65
  • •\- Ability to give informed consent as documented by signature

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Contraindication of rTMS treatment (epilepsy, abnormal EEG signature)
  • •\- Previous history of neurological disorders (neurodegenerative disorder, dementia, and stroke).
  • •\- Comorbidity of psychotic disorders (Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder)
  • •\- Pregnancy (excluded from rTMS treatment itself, as little evidence of its safety for pregnant woman is available)
  • •\- Current non\-prescribed psychoactive drugs
  • •\- Drug abuse
  • •\- Inability to consent
