Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Meet diagnostic criteria of major depressive disorder
- •\- Prescribed rTMS treatment by a psychiatrist (or standard therapy for the control group)
- •\- Age: 18\-65
- •\- Ability to give informed consent as documented by signature
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- Contraindication of rTMS treatment (epilepsy, abnormal EEG signature)
- •\- Previous history of neurological disorders (neurodegenerative disorder, dementia, and stroke).
- •\- Comorbidity of psychotic disorders (Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder)
- •\- Pregnancy (excluded from rTMS treatment itself, as little evidence of its safety for pregnant woman is available)
- •\- Current non\-prescribed psychoactive drugs
- •\- Drug abuse
- •\- Inability to consent
