Inclusion Criteria
Depressive episode; HADS > 7 points; hospitalisation at Bethanien Hospital Heidelberg for an acute medical condition; informed conset
Exclusion Criteria
Dementia (MMSE < 21); suicidality; inability to participate in group psychotherapy (e.g. due to significant hearing loss, severe and uncontrolled dyspnoea); severe medical condition with short expected lifespan; inability to return to study center for weekly psychotherapy sessions
