- Brief Summary
This cross-sectional study aims to investigate the relationship between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS), and Mindful Self-Care among Mental Health Professionals. With informed consent, sociodemographic information will be collected from the participants who are recruited according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The primary outcomes of ACEs, STS, and Mindful Self-Care will be assessed using The Adverse Childhood Experience Questionnaire, Secondary Traumatic Stress Scale, and Mindful Self-Care Scale - Brief, respectively. After the end of the data collection period, the raw data will be cleaned and transferred to StataSE software for further analysis.

Mental Health Professionals who are currently practicing in India A minimum education qualification of MSc/MA in psychology/psychiatric social work or mental health professions who have completed DPM/MD in Psychiatry.
Individuals currently diagnosed with any psychiatric or neurotic conditions Individuals taking any psychiatric medication or undergoing any structured intervention.

Name Time Method The ACEs questionnaire, Secondary Traumatic Stress Scale (STSS), & Mindful Self-Care Scale - Brief (MSCS - B) will be used to study the relationship between Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE), Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS), & Mindful Self-Care 7 months

Name Time Method To recognize the presence or absence of Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS), Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), & Mindful Self-Care among mental health professionals. Additionally, to develop an understanding of the role of Mindful Self-Care on any potential relation between ACEs and STS. This could help in consideration of the need for appropriate guidance for professionals as well as trainees. 7 months
