Systemically healthy patients with generalized gingivitis belonging to both sexes aged between 20- 30 years will be selected from the outpatient clinic of the Department of Periodontics
Pregnant and lactating females
Immunocompromised patient
Periodontal or orthodontic treatment at least 6 months before the start of the study
Use of antibiotics, corticosteroids, and anti ?inflammatory drugs within 6 months before sampling.
Patients who are regularly using chlorhexidine or similar mouthwashes.
