Inclusion Criteria
forty children belonging to either sex scheduled for elective surgery under general anaesthesia
Exclusion Criteria
1)Congenital anomalies
2)Difficult airway in pre-operative evaluation
3)Requiring rapid sequence intubation
4)Severe cardiac disease
5)Cervical instability
6)Reactive airway disease
7)Metabolic disease
8)and children whose parents refuse to participate in the study will not be included
