Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • patients who have demonstrated, at a previous visit, a satisfactory pupil dilation ( \>6mm) with topical mydriatic therapy.
  • All patients aged 40 to 70 years with senile cataract undergoing uncomplicated phacoemulsification surgery and willing to give written and informed consent for the study.
  • Uncomplicated Cataract
  • Cooperative patients

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients having
  • Corneal pathology
  • Pupillary disorders
  • Retinal pathology
  • Increased intraocular pressure
  • p/h/o Psychiatric illness
  • uncontrolled Hypertension
  • h/o hypersensitivity to amide group of drugs
  • h/o ocular surgery
  • Pregnant patients
