Inclusion Criteria
All children between the age of 1 month-18 years with sepsis admitted to the
Department of Paediatrics, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Refusal of the parents to participate in the study
2. Children who are on anticoagulants or procoagulants
3. Malignancies
4. Recent fibrinolytic therapy
5. Stroke, Pulmonary embolism, Deep vein thrombosis
6. Sickle cell disease
7. Snake venomation
