Inclusion Criteria
Aged 18 years and above, patients with peritonitis scheduled for emergency exploratory laparotomy.
Exclusion Criteria
•Patients <18 years old.
•Known metabolic disorders
•Patients with diabetic ketoacidosis
•Patients with low GCS<=14
•Patients with trauma and blood loss
•Patients with history of difficult intubation
