Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1 Age \> 18 years
  • •2 Received first dose of antibiotics in last 24 hours .
  • •3 Patients not received any antibiotics.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patientâ??s / guardians not giving consent
  • •2\. If planned for prolonged antibiotic therapy ( \>3 weeks)
  • •3\. Expected ICU Length of stay \< 24 h
  • •4\. Suspected viral, parasites and tuberculosis infection
  • •5\. Severely immune\-compromised patients like HIV (CD4 count \< 200
  • •6\. Neutropenic patients ( \< 500 neutrophils/ml)
  • •7\. Solid organ transplant, Bone marrow transplant
  • •8\. Patients on steroid therapy or started on steroid therapy during the study
  • •9\. Patients with concomitant haematological diseases (haematological malignancies,
  • •autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura, reactive thrombocytosis, and
