Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
The expected outcome is an increase in DNA damage. The methods of the comet test will be used to evaluate damages and genetic instability by the micronucleus test (MN) method, and cytotoxicity by flow cytometry, where viability and apoptosis and buccal micronucleus will be analyzed, where genomic instability will also be evaluated. Results that achieve a level of 5% will be considered significant. The sample size was calculated based on previous studies with the MN test assuming an expected mean difference between the groups for the buccal MN test around 0.52 and a standard deviation of 0.56, being determined 30 individuals per group with 95% test power.
