Age between 30 - 65
Diagnosis of esophageal or gastric cancer based on the results of a biopsy and the approval of an expert practitioner
Admission for Esophagectomy and/or Gastrectomy surgery
Having a companion during the intervention and then
No diagnosed mental disorder
Persian language familiarity
Ability to speak
Not consenting to continue cooperation
Decreased consciousness level and transition to ICU
Patient death
Absence in more than two care sessions
Disconnect for two weeks at follow-up
