Pregnant women without any systemic conditions in the 1st trimester of pregnancy (9th -12th week of pregnancy) with confirmed singleton gestation.
Pregnant women who have a CPI score >= 3
Pregnant women visiting the department of gynaecology during the first 4 months of the study period.
Pregnant women whose age is equal to or greater than 18 years of age.
Patient who consent to participate.
Patients with any systemic conditions.
Patients on antibiotics or corticosteroids therapy.
Multiple gestations
Patients who have undergone periodontal treatment 6 months prior to the study
History of infertility or assisted reproductive technology (ART)
