- •1. Patient refusal
- •2. Emergency cases
- •3. Patients with uncontrolled hypertension
- •4. patients with preoperative bradycardia
- •5. patients with ischemic heart disease or cardiac arrhythmias
- •6. patients with severe pulmonary or hepatic or renal disease
- •7. drug allergy to local anesthetic used or clonidine
- •8. patients on alpha blockers preoperatively
