- •patients posted for elective craniotomy
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patient refusal
- •2\. Emergency cases
- •3\. Patients with uncontrolled hypertension
- •4\. patients with preoperative bradycardia
- •5\. patients with ischemic heart disease or cardiac arrhythmias
- •6\. patients with severe pulmonary or hepatic or renal disease
- •7\. drug allergy to local anesthetic used or clonidine
- •8\. patients on alpha blockers preoperatively
