1.ASA grade I, II and III patients
2.Age > 18 years and < 85 years.
3.Patients undergoing unilateral knee replacement surgery.
1.Patient refusal
2.Revision or bilateral knee surgery.
3.Pre-existing peripheral neuropathy.
4.Infection at the site of femoral nerve block.
5.Patients with chronic renal failure.
6.Allergy to local anaesthetics.
7.Patients with any bleeding disorders.
8.Difficulty in comprehending numeric rating scale(NRS)pain scores.
9.Difficulty in using intravenous patient controlled analgesic (PCA) pump.
