1. Patients only under oral hypoglycemic agents
2. Hba1c >6.5% for dibetics and 5.7-6.4% for prediabetics
3. Patients with chronic generalized periodontitis
1. Patients above the age of 60 years and less than 30 years will be excluded .
2. Patients whose are on insulin therapy will be excluded.
3. Patients with type 1 diabetes or Pregnancy induced diabetes will be excluded.
4. Patients with chronic complications of diabetes or any other endocrine disease will be excluded.
5. Patients who have taken supplementation of vitamins in the past 3 months will be excluded .
6. Patients with present history of smoking and alcohol intake will be excluded will be excluded.
