Those who are scheduled for abdominal surgery for clinical diagnosis of any gynecological malignancy
Pre-operative
1.Caffeine/coffee intolerance
2.Thyroid disorder/ Cardiac dysrrythmia
3.History of (H/O) diseases such as persistent diarrhea, chronic constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and/or, co-existing gut motility disorder
4.Prior H/O bowel surgery(s)
5.Prior H/O pelvic/ abdominal irradiation
Intra-operative
6.Operative duration > 4 hours
7.Intra-peritoneal chemotherapy given
8.Intra-operative bowel injury/ bowel anastomoses
9.Upper abdominal multi-visceral surgical debulking approach
Post-operative
10.ICU admission > 48 hours
11.Nasogastric tube in situ on 1st post-operative day.
12.Histopathology suggesting benign disease
