(1) Myongji Hospital inpatients from February 2022 to February 2023.
(2) Open heart surgery and referred for cardiac rehabilitation by the cardiac surgeon.
(1) Patients who presented with unstable hemodynamic parameters, indicated by systolic arterial pressure below 100 mmHg, diastolic arterial pressure below 60 mmHg, and mean arterial pressure below 80 mmHg, and experienced postoperative complications requiring invasive mechanical ventilation or noninvasive ventilation for a duration exceeding 24 hours after admission to the intensive care unit. (2) Individuals who exhibited cognitive impairment, uncooperative behavior, or an inability to comprehend or properly utilize the medical device. (3) Participants with a forced vital capacity less than 10 mL/kg on the first day of post operation (PostOP1) pulmonary function test (PFT). (4) Patients with known pulmonary conditions, recent major cardiac surgery, a history of neurological or musculoskeletal disorders, or peripheral vascular diseases (Amin et al., 2021).
