patients scheduled for coronary artery bypass graft were recruited considering the following inclusion criteria; Ability to communicate with the researcher effectively during the initial interview; Willingness to participate in research; being able to handle meetings and spiritual-religious interventions; Physical and mental ability to answer the questions; At least, reading and writing ability; ability to speak Persian language and; being Muslim and Shia.
Exclusion criteria:Frequent absences from meetings or withdrawing from participation in the spiritual-religious care program; The patients who had mild depression on pretest.
