Inclusion Criteria

Willingness to participate in research
Age 40-75 years
Having an ischemic stroke for the first time
Hospitalization in the internal part of nerves due to ischemic stroke
Determining the severity of the patient's disability according to the Rankin scale in degrees 0, 1 and 2
Confirmation of stroke in right and left frontal areas, right and left basal ganglia, cerebellum, puter and brainstem by the attending physician
Having minimum literacy of the patient
The ability to understand and speak Persian and the absence of hearing, vision and other problems that disrupt communication

Primary Outcome Measures

The state of self-esteem and hope. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study and one week after the discharge of the patients. Method of measurement: To check the state of self-esteem, Rosenberg's self-esteem questionnaire will be used. This questionnaire consists of ten items, in which the subject is asked to answer based on a four-point Likert scale from completely agree to completely disagree and the range of scores of this scale is from 10 to 40, and higher scores indicate higher self-esteem. 5 of its terms are presented in a positive form (items No. 1 to 5) and 5 other terms are presented in a negative form (items No. 6 to 10). Snyder's Hope Questionnaire will be used to check the state of hope. This questionnaire has 12 statements. 4 statements are used to measure agentive thinking, 4 statements are used to measure strategic thinking, and 4 statements are deviant. The score range of this scale is from 8 to 64. Higher scores indicate more hope.
