The population of interest will be composed of health users admitted to a hospital and the sample recruited from the medical clinic ward of the referred institution. Potentially eligible patients will first have the medical record analyzed by the researcher, considering as inclusion criteria:
- Be over 18 years old;
- Both sexes;
- Have clinical conditions to answer the questions and participate in the educational intervention (medical and nursing records must be included in the patients' medical records that the patients are aware of, oriented, communicating without difficulty. The clinical conditions will be questioned by the researcher to the nurse or responsible physician, who must confirm that patients are not in a serious or clinically unstable state);
- Accept to participate in the research.
Patients who have an inability to understand the questions of the instruments and educational intervention (evaluated through the records in the patient's medical record).

Name Time Method EXPECTED OUTCOME 1: Increase in patients self-efficacy, verified through the Perceived General Self-Efficacy Scale, based on the observation of a variation in the test p value equal to or less than 0,05 after the educational intervention.;EXPECTED OUTCOME 2: Increase in patients self-care, verified through the Scale to Assess Self-Care Capabilities, based on the observation of a variation in the test p value equal to or less than 0,05 after the educational intervention.
