Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients will be included if they meet the following inclusion criteria:
- •1\.Patients with AP diagnosed as per revised Atlanta classification22
- •2\.Patients with two organ failures each \>\= grade 2 or single organ failure \> grade 2 severity at presentation.
- •3\.Hospitalization within 7 days of onset of pancreatitis
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Age \<18 years or \>75 years
- •2\.Patients admitted after 7 days of onset of AP
- •3\.Patients with hypotension requiring inotropes
- •4\.Patients with evidence of chronic pancreatitis
- •5\.Refusal to give consent
- •6\.Patients with any major comorbid condition such as chronic kidney disease, congestive heart failure or respiratory illnesses.
