1. Plantar fasciitis with pain not relieving after three months or more with conventional physical exercises and footwear modification
2. Tenderness while palpating of the medial calcaneal tubercle or plantar fascia on its insertion
3. Pain intensity = 4 or more in Visual analog scale (VAS) score
4. Plantar fascia thickness of more than 4 mm with hypoechoic change at the insertion point of the calcaneum on ultrasound
1. Any trauma to the ankle or calcaneal
2. Tibial nerve neuropathy (Positive Tinel’s sign)
3. Any history of systemic inflammatory or connective tissue disease, vascular insufficiency or peripheral neuropathy causing heel pain
4. Lumbar disc herniation with radiating pain to the lower limb
5. Systemic diseases like uncontrolled diabetes or gout
6. Any heel surgery done or local injections taken within the last six months
7. Any local lesion in the injection site
8. Coagulation disorder, Allergic reaction to local anesthetic, ozone, and steroid in past, pregnancy
9. Switch to any other treatment modality during the 12 weeks of follow up in post injection period.
10. Refusal to consent
