Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
To evaluate whether injection of echo contrast increases the estimated LV volumes on 2D echocardiography compared to those without the use of contrast.Timepoint: after induction of anaesthesia, before going on cardiopulmonary bypass.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
To compare intra-observer and inter-observer variability in the measurement of LV volumes with and without echo contrast.Timepoint: after induction of anaesthesia, before going on cardiopulmonary bypass.;To compare static cardiac output measured by Modified Simpson’s method with or without echo contrast with LVOT dynamic cardiac output.Timepoint: after induction of anaesthesia, before going on cardiopulmonary bypass.;To evaluate whether the echo contrast increases the 3D echocardiographic estimation of LV volumesTimepoint: after induction of anaesthesia, before going on cardiopulmonary bypass.
