Will be included in the research patients:
Age 55-85 years; with clinical diagnosis of community pneumonia (Streptococcus pneumoniae); in conventional treatment of Respiratory Physiotherapy; in oxygen therapy up to 1 L / minO2 and in treatment with antibiotic therapy (azalides, cephalosporins, fluoroquinolones).
Patients will not be part of the research:
That they present a diagnosis of fungal and viral pneumonia; with hospital pneumonia (those who were hospitalized for more than 2 days in the previous 90 days); institutionalized; overweight (Body Mass Index - BMI: above 29.9 kg / m2); not sign the ICF; do not belong to the age group cited; that present neoplasias and with a history of photosensitivity.

Name Time Method Improvement of the infectious condition and consequent pulmonary function with the use of infrared LED photobiostimulation.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Improvement of ventilatory mechanics, strength of respiratory muscles and clinical condition of the patient (repercussions on respiratory rate and pulse oxymetry) after the use of infrared LED photobiostimulation.
