Inclusion Criteria

Women in the immediate puerperium; With at least six hours postpartum; With single, full-term gestation; With newborns hospitalized in the joint housing; Who are carrying out the practice of Breastfeeding; Have at least one telephone contact.

Exclusion Criteria

Puerperas that had been contraindicated to breastfeeding; With mental restrictions that made it impossible to understand the instrument; With children hospitalized in the intensive care unit; Whose children were born with disabilities that impede breastfeeding; Hearing impaired.

Primary Outcome Measures

The median of the Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale - Short Form scores was the same at two months (p = 0.214). However, at four months the intervention group had higher levels compared to the control group (p = 0.011).
