Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients aged 40 to 75 years
- •2\. ASA grade 1 to 3
- •3\. Elective procedures posted for vitreo retinal surgery
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Age \> 70 years
- •2\. Severe left ventricular dysfunction (Ejection fraction \< 35 %)
- •3\. Baseline heart rate \< 40 bpm
- •4\. Hypovolemia with systolic blood pressure \< 90 mmHg
- •5\. Second and third degree heart block
- •6\. Chronic renal failure and hepatic impairment
- •7\. Bleeding or coagulation abnormalities
- •8\. Psychiatric diseases
- •9\. H/o allergy to the drug
