- •Men and women aged 18 to 80 years newly diagnosed with non valvular AF
- •Signed written consent to take part in the study
- •Are the trial subjects under 18? no
- •Number of subjects for this age range:
- •F.1.2 Adults (18-64 years) yes
- •F.1.2.1 Number of subjects for this age range 20
- •F.1.3 Elderly (>=65 years) yes
- •F.1.3.1 Number of subjects for this age range 40
Exclusion Criteria
- •Previous history of thrombotic or major bleeding event
- •Known to have prothrombotic risk factors
- •Use of oral anticoagulants
- •Creatinine clearance < 30 ml/min
- •Heart valve problems
