Inclusion Criteria

ASA grade I & II patients (age – 18 to 70 years) undergoing midline laparotomies

Patients who can understand and provide a valid consent for the procedure and can understand and are willing to report the pain using NRS score.

Exclusion Criteria

Patients not willing to give consent

Patients undergoing re-do surgeries

Patients with known allergy to study drug

Patients with psychiatric disorders

Patients who have had pre-operative opioid consumption

Patients on chronic pain medication

Severe cardiac or pulmonary dysfunction
