Type 2 diabetes with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.
Minimum score of seven on the Michigan Diabetic Neuropathy Score (MDNS).
Presence of motor deficit in the lower limb muscles due to the neuropathy.
The ability to maintain the upright position and to walk, at least with assistance.
Postural hypotension,
Foot ulcers
Part or complete foot amputation,
Peripheral arterial disease,
Severe impairments – Vision, neurological or musculoskeletal impairments.
Cognitive impairment
presence of severe cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, other neurological diseases.
a rehabilitation treatment in the previous six months.
Wounds or bedsores, skin diseases, urinary incontinence and fear of water.
