Criteria are depending on the Workstream of the project:
1) For formative work for community engagement tool development: Non-specialist providers and caregivers of children aged 2-9 years who are fluent in the local language i.e. Hindi, Konkani or Marathi;
2) Detection: All families residing in the study geography with children aged 18 months to 9 years.
3) Interventions: Children detected with NDDs/Autism between the age group of 2-9 years within the study geography.
4) Community engagement and involvement:
• Persons (18 and older) who are caregivers to an individual living with autism or intellectual disability. Or
• Persons (18 and older) who are living with autism spectrum disorder (self-advocates) who are able to communicate with or
without communication aids such as writing through tablets or laptops, or using alternative augmentative communication
devices as a speech-generating device. Or
• Non-specialist health workers who are involved in the delivery of the PASS Plus intervention in Delhi or in Goa, Or
• Specialist health workers for autism and intellectual disability (clinicians, paediatric health providers, occupational
therapists).
1) Children residing outside the study sites
2) Children less than 18 months or more than 9 years for detection.
3) Children less than 2 years for or more than 9 years for intervention.
4) Children having uncontrolled seizures in the last 6 months
5) Children with significant hearing/ visual problem
6) Children with any other significant genetic, neurodevelopmental or physical disability
7) Primary caregiver/ parent having significant hearing/ visual problem
8) Primary caregiver having a severe learning disability or current severe psychiatric disorder
