Inclusion Criteria
Patients, who are aged 20-59 years and to be scheduled for spine surgery in Severance Hospital, Seoul, Republic of Korea, are to be recruited.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients who are anticipated to have difficulty for endotracheal intubation, presenting with upper respiratory infection or asthma, have a comorbidity of cardiovascular, cerebrovascular or neuronal, renal or endocrinologic abnormality, and are diagnosed with metastatic cancer, except for patients with well-controlled hypertension or diabetes with oral agents. Vulnerable subjects, such as pregnant women, illiteracy or foreigners, are also excluded.
