Inclusion Criteria
Patients of suspected sepsis (NEWS assessment score greater than equal to 5)
Exclusion Criteria
1. Patients coming to the Emergency department in intubated or tracheostomised state
2. Not willing to give consent for mechanical ventilatory support
3. Pregnancy
4. Known cases of chronic obstructive lung diseases or interstitial lung diseases
5. Patient getting intubated for head injuries
6. Patients getting intubated for surgical procedures
7. Patients with chronic heart failure
