Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Singleton pregnant women with Gestational age between 24 to 36 weeks admitted with
  • consistent painful uterine contractions(uterine activity recorded using Tocogram) With intact
  • membranes with Cervical dilatation \< 3 cm.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Any clinical evidence of infection such as fever,WBC count more than 15000/µL, CRP values more than 6mg/L
  • 2\.Pregnant women with established preterm labor pain (Cervix more than or equal to 3 cm dilated)
  • 3\.Multiple gestation
  • 4\.Women with ruptured membranes
  • 5\.Women having uterine anomalies
  • 6\.Those who have contra indications to tocolysis therapy
  • 7\.Those in whom preterm delivery is indicated due to placental/fetal pathologies
  • 8\.Acute/chronic inflammatory diseases such as SLE,Rheumatoid arthritis,ITP
