Patients with irreversible pulpitis in mandibular first or/and second molars on both right and left sides,
Those aged 25-45 yrs,
Those in good health, with no previous history of allergy to any kind of local anesthesia, sulphites or other drugs that would alter pain perception,
Prolonged response to cold testing with Endo-frost (RoekoLangenace, Germany),
A vital coronal pulp on access opening,
No history of trauma to the involved tooth
Patients with periapical pathology or any periapical radiolucency on rediograph
Retreatment cases
Cases with Non vital pulp
Pregnancy or lactating patients
Patients unable to give informed consent
Those with allergies to local anesthetic agent or sulphites or sulphur drugs
Those taking CNS depressants or any analgesic medication within 12 hrs
