Inclusion Criteria
1. patients having atleast 20 permanant teeth
2. presence of moderate periodntal pockets between 5mm to 6mm
3. systemically healthy and non smokers
4. who have not undergone any form of dental treatment in the past 6 months
Exclusion Criteria
1. pregnant and lactating women
2. using antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs
