1.Age of the patient between 18 and 70 years.
2.ASA physical status I and II.
3.Planned for upper limb surgeries with anticipated use of tourniquet.
4.Patients who desire regional anaesthesia as primary anaesthetic.
5.Weight greater than or equal to 50kg.
1.Patient refusal
2.History of allergy of local anaesthetics
3.Coagulopathy or bleeding diathesis
4.History of peripheral neuropathy
5.Local skin infection
6.Baseline systolic blood pressure greater than or equal to 150 mmHg
7.Baseline diastolic blood pressure greater than or equal to 85mmHg
8.History of chronic pain syndromes
9.History of analgesic and drug use on a regular basis
