Inclusion Criteria
Patients with physical status American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classes I and II, above 18 years of age of either sex, and posted for elective surgery of fracture hip under spinal anesthesia will be included in the study
Exclusion Criteria
cognitive impairment, dementia, delirium, coagulopathy, polytrauma, hemodynamic instability, allergy to local anesthetic, alcohol abuse, any prior opioid administration for acute pain, and patient refusal
