Inclusion Criteria

All patients more than 18 years undergoing clean and clean contaminated surgeries in the department of general surgery and obstetrics and gynecology

Open and laparoscopy surgeries which are clean and clean contaminated and the incision is closed primarily

All the patients who give informed consent for participating in the study.

Exclusion Criteria

Relaparotomy within 30 days of previous surgery POD 1 is Day of surgery through the same incision

Patients with HIV chronic renal failure chronic steroid intake SLE active skin infections at proposed incision site

All surgeries done under local anaesthesia
