Inclusion Criteria

Children aged 1 to 12 years, American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) Grade 1 and 2, undergoing surgery of upper limb requiring general anaesthesia with axillary brachial plexus block.

Exclusion Criteria

Patients with infection at axillary block site, neuromuscular disease, history of local anaesthetic allergy, coagulopathy and patients in whom the pulse oximeter probe cannot be placed on the fingers of the blocked limb.
