• Low back pain with radiculopathy for more than 3 months
• Pain refractory to conservative treatment
• MRI evidence involving up to 2 lumbar levels
• NRS > 4
contraindication to neuraxial injection
• History of predominant back pain over leg pain
• Uncontrolled medical illnesses
• Patients with coagulopathy and/or on anticoagulants
• Infection at the site of injection
• Hypersensitivity to LA and/or the radiographic contrast agent
• Presence of anatomical deformity of the spine
• Presence of cancer as a cause of back pain
• History of previous back surgery or implant insertion
• Signs of bilateral radiculopathy
• Evidence of significant motor deficit
• Pregnancy or lactating women
