- •patients of either sex, age more than 18 years posted for elective or emergency surgery or admitted in ICU requiring central venous catheterization.
排除标准
- •1. Patientâ??s refusal
- •2. Infection at the catheterisation site
- •3. Coagulation abnormality
- •4. Cardiac rhythm or conduction disorder
- •5. Patients with a pacemaker in situ
- •6. Anatomical deformities of the neck or chest
- •7. Pneumothorax
- •8. Trauma to clavicle and upper ribs or cervical spine trauma
- •9. Any pathology leading to tracheal deviation
- •10. Pregnant patients
