Study Overview
Brief Summary
Sore throat related to orotracheal tube might be a consequence of localized trauma, leading to aseptic inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa. Magnesium being an NMDA receptor antagonist, has a role in preventing NMDA receptor-mediated nociception and inflammation and thereby POST. Nebulization with magnesium sulphate helpful in reduction of severity of postoperative sore throat.

- 18.00 Year(s) to 60.00 Year(s) (—)

Inclusion Criteria
- •ASA I & II , elective surgery less than 2 hours.
Exclusion Criteria
- •ASA III, IV , V.
- •, Negative consent, comorbidity patients, pre-existing sore throat.
Outcomes
Primary Outcomes
Pre op nebulization with MgSO4 , Less Time for laryngoscopy, Short Surgery time helpful in prevention of postoperative sore throat.
Time Frame: Continues monitoring of vitals and ask about sore throat for 24 hours after Extubation.eg.0 hours, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours.
Secondary Outcomes
- Sore throat grading applied (Grade 0-3)(Measured every 2 hourly upto 8 hours and than at 24 hour.)
