Patients with BMI 30.0 â?? 39.0 kg/m2 for group 2. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)
Patients previously diagnosed with T2DM and under medication were confirmed by their glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c: 6.5% - 8.5 --ADA,2017)
Patients with at least 15 natural teeth remaining.
Patients suffering from chronic periodontitis (>= 5mm pocket depth or >= 3mm loss of attachment) were selected. (Update to 1999 Disease Classification-AAP)
Patients who have not received periodontal therapy, within preceding six months.
Patients having aggressive periodontitis.
Patients having any other systemic diseases.
Patients with BMI > 40 kg/m2.
Patients with HbA1c > 8.5%.
Patients taking high-dose steroid therapy, radiation or immunosuppressive therapy.
Pregnant and lactating woman.
History of smoking within the past five years.
Mentally retarded and un-cooperative patients
