1.Patients with complete dentition apart from third molars.
2.Patients in the age group 13 – 20 yrs.
3.Patients with Angle’s Class I bimaxillary dentoalveolar protrusion with maxillary incisor display = 4mm at rest indicated for fixed appliance therapy with extraction of both first premolars in the maxillary arch.
4.Normal vertical dimension represented by GoGn-SN angle of 32 ± 6°.
5.Patients should be having healthy gingival and periodontal status.
6.Pre and post radiographs with good hard and soft tissue outlines and teeth in full occlusion, lips resting in natural position.
7.All pretreatment and post treatment cephalograms will be taken from the same machine in the standard position by the same operator.
1.Patient with history of previous orthodontic treatment.
2.Patient with history of trauma or endodontic treatment of anteriors.
3.Missing molars or any of the anterior teeth.
4.Erupted or unerupted supernumeraries in the maxillary anterior segment.
5.Impacted canines.
6.Upper anterior crowding = 4mm.
7.Periodontitis.
8.Patients with congenital syndromes and bony defects.
9.History of avulsion or replantation.
10.History of prolonged treatment with systemic steroids and NSAIDs.
11.History of metabolic disorders.
