Inclusion Criteria
1) Patients for elective surgery planned under general anaesthesia of American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status I & II
2) Age group 20-60 years of either gender, giving valid informed and written consent
Exclusion Criteria
1) Patient refusal
2) Anticipated difficult airway
3) Morbid obesity
4) ASA Physical Status III and IV
5) Known case of hypertension
6) Drug allergy to any anaesthetic medication/study drugs
7) Pregnant patients
8) Patients on sedatives, hypnotics or sympatholytics
