Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Patient on mechanical ventilation \>24hrs on Conventional Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (CIMV) \& Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (SIMV) mode
- •2\.Ramsay sedation scale between 4 and 6 levels
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Intracranial hypertension \>30 mmHg,
- •2\.Pneumothorax
- •3\.Hemodynamic instability (mean arterial pressure \<80 mmHg) with use of high doses of vasoactive drugs (Dopamine and Dobutamine \>5 μg/kg/min and Noradrenalin \>0\.5 μg/kg/min)
- •4\.Rib fractures, unstable thorax, any severe chest deformity
