ASA Physical status 1and 2
fullterm parturients
scheduled for elective lower segment caesarean section surgery under spinal anaesthesia
Exclusion Criteria
Gestational age less than 36weeks
patients body mass index >35kg/m2
active or earlylabour
history of more than one previous caesarean delivery
placenta previa
ruptured membranes
intrauterine growth restriction
hypertension or preeclampsia
diabetes or gestationaldiabetes
any contraindications to regionalanaesthesia
