Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Patients undergoing elective open heart surgery i.e. Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Valve surgeries (Valve replacement or repair), referred for physiotherapy preoperatively as well as post operatively and hemodynamically stable in consultation with operative cardiac surgeon and intensivist.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Pre or postoperative patients who have unstable angina or severe chest pain, Severe Aortic Stenosis, Ejection Fraction < 30%, Left main coronary artery involvement, suffered from old stroke, severe endocarditis recently diagnosed, renal dysfunction requiring dialysis during or after admission, any severe musculosketal condition affecting walking specially knee joint pain and any psychiatric problems or non cooperative for the study.
